at first glance at your blog title i thought u were a owner of a light house, i was like omg Oo.. then i realised it was a cartoon u are working on. but anyways, u will publish ur cartoon in here?
Wow! - I was surprised to get a comment already - yep I'm just working on the format of the blog at the moment. I can't get the pictures big enough to be visible. Please come back in a few days and have a look. Cheers, Bren
Thanks Kim. I have a little work to do to get the blog right then I’ll start posting cartoons. This is a brand new strip and I’ll be posting it here as it develops. I have all the characters and the sets worked out in my head but it’s going to be fun to see where it goes!
hahaha i really love Humboldt already..i think i've just found a new distraction! he seems really friendly and, umm, down to earth, if you can say that about an albatross :S
anyways, i was going to recommend to you reading the lighthouse keeper picture books, they might help if you need inspiration :)
Hi Sam I'm glad you like Humboldt. Sorry I didn't see your post immediately, I'm new to Blogger and I didn't have the settings right :-(. I think you can call Humboldt down to earth, particularly as he's decided decided to stay!
I just looked up the lighhouse keeper books - they're nice, I hadn't seen them before. I have a collection of lighthouse books but they are all serious, about how they were built, the charactaristics of the light and stuff like that.
I have quite a few ideas up my sleeve for Humboldt and Ellery, and one or two other characters who will appear from time to time.
I'm a cartoonist and I have a passion for the sea. This is my way of indulging that passion, a cartoon strip about a lighthouse keeper and an albatross called Humboldt.
When I'm not doing this I draw cartoons about science, business, fish, anything really...
...and when I'm not doing that I mostly like to sail, play guitar, or hang out by water.
